Mediamond S.P.A. is contemporaneously the youngest and the most ancient web “planning” agency in Italy: born in 2009, it is the natural heir of Mediaset and Mondadori, two historical giants in the Italian publishing sector. The network of sites belonging to Mediamond includes: TGCOM.it, Donnamoderna.it, Fastweb.it and many others, with over 10 millions users/month.
Needs & Goals:
The detailed brief focused on three main communication goals:
- Creating a strong image to communicate the USP of the agency using smart, young&fresh language.
- Design of a special section for info & utilities, to present the main case histories and the “adv services”. Easy and fast Content Management System was the main requirement.
- Great interactivity to support the two main target users: the main audience and the sales force (who will use the website to explain the Mediamond services).
Activities:
- Identification of the communication concept "the Town of Mediamond" which will be used and declined in all the communication strategies (also on traditional media).
- Information and navigation design.
- Visual design.
- Development using YourCMS3.
- Creation of a very dynamic and consistent strategy between social media (Twitter, Facebook) and the main website.
Results:
The first important result was the ability to reach the “time-to-market need”: we won the contest in August and started the project during the first days of September. The challenge was to design and put the website online by mid-october... and we did it !!
The website is very dynamic. The home page displays both the main information within the “Mediamond navigator” and the live-rss feeds from the whole network.
From a user-interaction and visual point of view, the strategy for the internal pages was a mix between active-infographic design and filters.
